Academic university staff
At the University of Vienna, academic university staff is divided into eleven personnel categories, comprising a total of more than 7,500 people. The largest groups in terms of numbers are associated with teaching (lecturers, student assistants) and third-party funded projects (third-party funded employees). The highest proportion of women are found among student assistants and senior lecturers, while the highest proportion of men are among university lecturers (Dozent*innen) and professors.
