Development share of women academics
As the data from 2015 to 2024 shows, women caught up on the academic career path at the University of Vienna. In this time period, the share of women has increased in all personnel categories except among Senior Scientists. The strong increase among tenure track positions is particularly remarkable: Between 2018 and 2024, the share of women increased by 15 percentage points and is currently at 50 %. The share of female professors has grown by seven percentage points and is currently at 35 %.
